Privacy Policy for Boarding Ready

Boarding Ready is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app does not require an account, does not connect to a developer-operated backend service, and does not transmit your pet records or vaccination documents to us.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Boarding Ready uses, how that information is stored, and the choices available to you.
1. Information Stored by the App
Boarding Ready allows you to enter and store information about your pets and their vaccination records. Depending on how you use the app, this information may include:
Pet name
Pet date of birth or age
Pet breed
Vaccine type
Vaccine name
Date a vaccine was administered
Vaccine expiration or renewal date
Photographs or scanned images of vaccination records
Information extracted from vaccination documents
PDF reports generated from the information and documents you provide
This information is stored locally within Boarding Ready’s private application sandbox on your device.
We do not receive, access, collect, or store this information on developer-operated servers.
2. No Account or Personal Contact Information
Boarding Ready does not require you to create an account.
The app does not ask for or collect:
Your name
Your email address
Your telephone number
Your physical address
Your precise or approximate location
Advertising identifiers
Device identifiers for tracking purposes
Pet names and veterinary documents may contain information that you or a veterinary provider placed on those documents. That information remains stored locally in the app unless you choose to share it.
3. Camera Access
Boarding Ready may request permission to use your device’s camera so that you can photograph or scan pet vaccination documents.
Camera access is used only when you choose to capture a document. Boarding Ready does not record video or take photographs without your action.
Images captured through the app are stored locally within the app’s private storage.
You may revoke camera permission at any time through the Privacy & Security settings on your device. Revoking permission will prevent future camera use but will not automatically delete images previously saved within the app.
4. Photo Library Access
Boarding Ready may request access to your photo library so that you can select existing images of vaccination records or pets.
The app uses photo-library access only to allow you to choose images for use as vaccination documentation or for your individual pet entries. Boarding Ready does not upload your photo library or transmit your photographs to us.
Depending on the permissions you grant, iOS may allow you to provide access only to selected photographs.
You may change or revoke photo-library permission at any time through the Privacy & Security settings on your device.
5. On-Device Processing
Pet information, vaccination information, document images, and any supported document-processing features are handled locally on your device.
Boarding Ready does not send your records to a remote server for processing.
6. PDF Generation and Sharing
Boarding Ready can generate a PDF report containing pet information, vaccination details, and vaccination-proof images.
The PDF is created locally on your device.
Boarding Ready may present the standard iOS share sheet so that you can choose whether and how to share the PDF. Depending on the apps and services installed on your device, sharing options may include Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, printing, cloud-storage applications, or other third-party applications.
Sharing occurs only when you initiate it.
Once you share or export a PDF, the recipient, application, or service you select may retain, transmit, process, or further share that file according to its own privacy practices. Boarding Ready and its developer do not control how a PDF is handled after you share it.
You should review the contents of a PDF before sharing it, particularly when scanned vaccination documents may contain personal information such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, veterinary-provider information, certificate numbers, or other identifying details.
7. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Boarding Ready does not use:
Analytics services
Advertising networks
Behavioral tracking
Cross-app tracking
Cross-website tracking
Tracking pixels
Advertising cookies
Third-party marketing SDKs
We do not sell, rent, trade, or disclose your app data to data brokers, advertisers, or marketing companies.
8. Cookies
The Boarding Ready iOS app does not use cookies.
This statement applies to the Boarding Ready application itself. A separate website or website-hosting provider may have its own technical or privacy practices.
9. Third-Party Data Sharing
Boarding Ready does not automatically share your pet information, vaccination information, or document images with third parties.
Data is shared only when you deliberately use an iOS feature, such as the system share sheet, to send or export a PDF or other file.
Boarding Ready does not provide third parties with direct access to the information stored inside the app’s private application sandbox.
Apple may process information as part of operating iOS, the App Store, device backups, iCloud services, or other Apple services. Apple’s handling of that information is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.
10. Device Backups
Information stored by Boarding Ready may be included in an iPhone or iPad backup, depending on your device settings and the backup services you use.
For example, iOS may include application data in an encrypted iCloud backup or a backup made to a Mac or PC. These backups are managed by you and Apple, not by the developer of Boarding Ready.
Boarding Ready does not operate its own cloud-backup system.
11. Data Retention
Pet records and vaccination documents remain stored locally until one of the following occurs:
You delete an individual pet, vaccination record, or document within the app;
You use an available feature to erase all app data;
You uninstall Boarding Ready from your device; or
The operating system removes the app or its data.
Copies that you previously exported or shared are not deleted when you remove information from Boarding Ready.
Copies contained in an existing device backup may remain in that backup until the backup is replaced or deleted according to your Apple backup settings.
12. Deleting Your Data
Because Boarding Ready does not operate user accounts or remote servers, there is no server-held account data for you to request that we delete.
You control the locally stored information through the app and your device.
You may delete data by:
Deleting individual records or documents within Boarding Ready;
Using any available delete-all-data feature within the app; or
Deleting the Boarding Ready app from your device.
You may manage or delete device backups through your Apple device or Apple account settings.
13. Security
Boarding Ready relies on the security protections provided by iOS, including application sandboxing and device-level security features.
You are responsible for securing your device using an appropriate passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and other security features available through iOS.
No storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use care when storing or sharing documents that contain personal or sensitive information.
14. Children’s Privacy
Boarding Ready is not specifically designed for or directed toward children.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or transmit children’s information to the developer.
Because all entered information remains locally stored, the developer does not know the identity or age of individuals using the app.
Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of the app and any sharing of vaccination documents or generated PDF reports.
15. Veterinary and Medical Disclaimer
Boarding Ready is an organizational and document-storage tool for animal vaccination records.
The app does not provide veterinary advice, medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or guarantees that a pet satisfies the requirements of a particular boarding facility, daycare, groomer, veterinarian, government agency, or other organization.
Users should confirm vaccination requirements directly with the relevant facility or qualified veterinarian.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Boarding Ready’s functionality or data practices change.
Any revised policy will be posted at this location with an updated effective date. Material changes may also be communicated within the app or through the App Store listing when appropriate.
